Under the EPA’s RRP rule, buildings built prior to 1978 must be tested for lead based paint. That includes renovations of any healthcare, residential homes, commercial buildings and child care centers. It was found that the dust particles generated from the disruption oflead based paint are dangerous. They could create extremely hazardous conditions within a home or business. Lead settles within tiny microscopic particles making it very easy to ingest in its dust state.
